While at a accident on the Salmonier Line with slick icy road conditions, the RCMP Holyrood detachment says a motorist blasted by the scene.

lOf huge concern to authorities was the fact that while fire and police were on scene, vehicle speeds were being picked up at 130 to 140 km per hour from a passing motorist in the opposite lane of travel, the RCMP said in a news release

Around 3:45 a.m.. today., police were called to a single vehicle roll over on TCH near Salmonier Line.

This crash involved one man who was reportedly uninjured, police say.

Roads at this time we extremely slippery with black ice.

Luckily for the driver who passed the scene, police were unable to leave the crash scene to apprehend the speeder, RCMP spokesman Staff Sgt. Boyd Merrill said in the news release.

"Please do not ruin your loved ones holiday season with an extended visit to hospital or worse," he said.
