CLARENVILLE, N.L.— A furry visitor drew plenty of attention along Cormack Drive in Clarenville today.

The seal has been hanging out since early morning, and residents, young and old alike, are stopping along Cormack Drive to have a look at the animal.

A Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) officer told The Packet that they checked out the scene, and that the seal appears to be in good health and in no need of assistance.

DFO also told The Packet that people ought to enjoy the animal at a distance, and if something happens that causes the animal to appear to be in distress or injured, to call the office at 466-8272.
