CLARENVILLE, N.L. - For the first time since its sudden closure at the end of March, the Shoal Harbor causeway bridge is open to traffic.
The Town of Clarenville opened one lane of traffic earlier this morning, June 19, with a weight limit of 25 tonnes.
The one lane will allow for two-way traffic across the bridge, with lights on either side regulating the flow of traffic.
“It’s a relief. It’s good for everyone,” said Clareville mayor Frazer Russell.
