A 36-year-old Stephenville Crossing man was arrested and charged for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking in Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday.

As part of an ongoing investigation that day, Bay St. George RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Stephenville Crossing resulting in the seizure of a quantity of prescription pills and marihuana, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of cash.

The man will appear in Stephenville Provincial Court February 2018.
