St. John’s, N.L. — The RNC dealt with several reports of shoplifting Saturday afternoon in separate incidents.
At 2:10, police responded to a complaint of theft from a loss prevention officer at a business in the west end of St John’s. Two teenage girls were dealt with under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and released to the custody of their parents.
At 2:50, patrol services responded to a theft complaint from a business on Topsail Road in St. John’s. A 37-year-old woman was charged for theft under $5,000 and released with a future court date.
At 4:30 p.m., the RNC responded to a report of a theft at a business at the Avalon Mall. A 55-year-old woman was charged with theft under $5,000 and breaching court orders. She was held for a court appearance this morning.
