It hasn’t become a problem yet, but the Town of Steady Brook issued a notice on its Facebook page Monday that the water level in the brook that gives the town its name has been rising and is being monitored.
The water in the brook, which has iced over, has been backing up during the last couple of days.
The town is urging residents to monitor their own properties and advise the town if they notice any problems arising, particularly with mild temperatures and rain in the forecast for Wednesday.
