St. John’s, N.L. — A woman will appear in court at a later date after she was caught shoplifting at an east end grocery store Saturday afternoon about 2 p.m. The RNC responded to a report of a shoplifter had been apprehended by a loss prevention officer at the store. The 58-year-old suspect was charged with theft under $5,000 and released.
In an incident later in the day, around 4 p.m., the RNC responded to a report of a theft in progress at another east end location. A 23-year-old female was arrested and charged with theft and a breach of a court order. She was taken to the city lockup and will be held to appear before a judge.
