Two arrested in St. John’s on outstanding warrants

St. John’s, N.L. — The RNC arrested two individuals in separate incidents on outstanding warrants Wednesday.

Patrol services responded to a call for assistance from a member of the public in the west end of St. John’s. Responding officers executed an outstanding warrant for a 23-year-old man. He was arrested and taken to provincial court on the outstanding warrant and two additional charges for breaching court orders.

Later the RNC located a 29-year-old woman in the centre part of St. John’s and executed an outstanding warrant. The accused will also face additional charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats, theft under $5,000, breach of recognizance, and breach of probation. The woman was held for court.
