Update: Power restored on Northern Peninsula

A power outage on the Northern Peninsula this morning was caused by a transmission line trip.
Power is currently out to much of Northern Peninsula, according to Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro's website. -

NORTHERN PENINSULA, NL - Power was knocked out across the Northern Peninsula this morning.

According to a spokesperson for Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, the issue was the result of a transmission line trip, likely caused by today's stormy weather.

Electricity was restored to all customers just after 10 a.m.
