A public candlelight vigil for Happy Valley-Goose Bay Mayor John Hickey is being held tomorrow, Dec. 12 in front of the Town Hall.
Hickey is currently in hospital in St. John’s, where he reportedly underwent surgery following a hunting accident where he was shot in the face.
The Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is holding the vigil for “those in the community who wish to send thoughts and prayers to Mayor Hickey and his family,” according to a press release.
The vigil is being held at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall parking lot by the Christmas tree. Parking will not be available in the lot to allow for the ceremony.
Candles will be provided by the Town.
