St. John’s, N.L. — A man who was caught drinking in public shortly before 1 a.m. this morning spent the night in the lockup after the RNC spied him in St. John’s centre .
Officers were patrolling the area when they noted the man drinking alcohol outside.
Police discovered the 42-year-old man was on a court order and breached several of his release conditions, namely not to possess or consume alcohol, fail to reside by an 11 .m. curfew, and failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
He was held for a court appearance in the morning.
