Carol Ann (Carlie) Kavanagh

Carol Ann (Carlie) Kavanagh
(Age 60) Passed away suddenly at her home in Calvert after a recent diagnosis of terminal cancer. Predeceased by loving husbands Robin Hibbs and Rick Giles, father Tom Kavanagh, and baby sister Mary Frances. Leaving to mourn her adoring family: mother Alice; three brothers: Graham (Wanda), Tommy (Kelly), and John (Mary Ryan); and ten sisters: Flornie (Frank Dalton), Doris (Doug Boland), Mary Alice (Brendan Walsh), Menie (Rick French), Daphne, Bernice (Charlie Gosse), Judy (Horace Hibbs), Lisa (Don Menchion), Kim (Ron Murphy), and Kelly (Jonathan McVicar). She didn’t have children but she was a dearly loved aunt to thirty-five nieces and nephews, including special niece Jill Dawson. Carlie was a generous, kind, and compassionate spirit who could see the humour in life’s obstacles – of which she had many. Her friendship was cherished by all, especially Rosalita O’Connell, Angus O’Connell, Arlene Martin, and Juanita Cuff. Cremation will take place, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Calvert, on Wednesday, June 6th, at 11:00 am. Reception at Calvert Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jill’s name to The Schizophrenia Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or The SPCA. Carlie’s memory will live on in all those she leaves behind.
