Caroline Meyers

Passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, March 18, 2018, Caroline (Carrie) Meyers (nee Durdle) of St. John’s, NL in her 84th year. Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Thomas Durdle, sisters Maria, Gladys, Vista and Beatrice; brother Wilfred; son Raymond; son Derrick; daughter-in-law Carolann Lake; son-in-law Tom Burke; and grandsons Kenny and Andrew Meyers. Leaving to mourn with fond and cherished memories her children Bill (Yvonne), Carol (Peter), Shirley (Mike), Kenneth (Juanita), Glenn (Michelle), Violet (Tom); twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild and her sister Mildred Waye of Bonavista. A special thank-you is extended to the doctors, nurses and staff of 7th Floor West at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for the wonderful care and support that was given to our mom. A very special thank you to nurses Lori and Kay. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Wednesday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Caul’s Chapel on Thursday March 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
