Catherine Anne Spurrell

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Catherine Anne Spurrell announce her passing on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at age 54. Catherine (Cathy) will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her soul mate, love of her life, her husband Roy Quilty, her super Mama Edna, her two sisters Jeanie (Paul) MacAusland, Michele (Wayne) Durham, brother Michael (Jen) Spurrell, her two nieces Leah and Vanessa and only nephew Conner, her very special life time friend Sherry Morgan, two half sisters Sandra and Shanna, special friendly neighbors Doug and Angela, all her friends, extended family and her Sobeys family whom she loved to see every day. Catherine was predeceased by her father Samuel Spurrell and her special budgie Peep. We would like to thank the following: Palliative Care nurse Carmel Collins, Palliative Care Dr. Eloise Rogers, Oncologist Dr. Holmes, for helping us all through this devastating ordeal, answering all questions and being there whenever we needed you. As well as all nurses at the Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, and the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre for all your compassion. Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, for your kindness, gentleness, professionalism, your good mornings and your daily inspirational quotes which always put a smile on Cathy’s face.
