Donald Frederick Garland

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, June 16, 2018, Donald Frederick Garland, age 82 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife June (Cook), parents Bill and Minnie Garland and sister Elsie. Leaving to celebrate his life with precious memories are son Keith (Susan); daughter Lisa (Chris Lafosse); grandchildren Sarah, Jacob and Peter; sisters Norma, Hazel Rickert, Violet McConnell and Ruth Cook; special friends Betty and Ray Tucker and Doreen Leaman. Don also leaves a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John's. Family visitation on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. Cremation will follow with public visitation on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations may be made in Don's memory to Eastern Health Dialysis Units, the S.P.C.A. or a charity of one's choice.
