We, with broken hearts, announce the peaceful passing of Douglas at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on February 19th, 2018. Well loved Taxi driver and jokester, Doug made many friends and acquaintances in his long career driving through the nights in St. John's, and as a long time member of the Avalon Masonic Lodge, Scouts Canada, and the NL 5-pin Bowlers Association. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, his son Daniel (Dan), parents Edgar and Olive (Bugden) Noseworthy, mother-in-law Charlotte (McAbee) Billiard, mother and father-in-law Sandy and Mary (Mullins) Hussey, brother-in-law Joe McAbee, sisters Lois (Fey) Bowering and Jean King, brother Richard Noseworthy, brothers-in-law Bill Fey, Garfield Janes and Frank King. Left to mourn: son Craig and his wife Maria Alarcon, daughter Carmen and youngest son Jason, grandson Kevin and his mother Patricia O’Connor, brother Ed and Daphne, brother John and Mary, sister Suzanne Janes, sister Judy (Ken) Ashley, sister Peggy (Bob) Parrot and sister Marilyn (Terry) Hebb, sister-in-law Val McAbee and Val’s daughter Kerry Lynn. Also a large circle of aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends from the 5-pin Bowlers Association of NL, Scouts Canada, the Masonic Avalon Lodge, and of course Jiffy Cabs. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel at a later date to be announced.
