Edward (Ted) Parsons

It is with sad and very heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a much loved husband, father, step-father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, Edward (Ted) Parsons on Thursday, July 19, 2018, age 62. He is predeceased by his parents: Frank T. and Ruby B. Parsons; parents-in-law: William T. and Susie Drover; sister-in-law: Joan E. Osborne; nephew: Brian G. Osborne; brother-in-law: John Neil; niece: Christine C. Neil and numerous aunts and uncles. Leaving to mourn his wife: Jean (Drover); son: Danny Gosse; step-daughters: Sara and Michelle Ploughman; brother: Frank (Marilyn) Parsons, New Brunswick; sisters: Shirley (Jim) Wells, St. John’s and Carol (Terry) Winters, Alberta; sister-in-law: Marcy Neil; brothers-in-law: Edward (Martha) Osborne, Raymond (Evelyn) Drover and Gerald (Jean) Drover all of Upper Island Cove, extended family and a large circle of friends at home and in Churchill Falls where he was a valued employee of Nalcor Energy for many years and from where he recently retired. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, August 3, 2018 from St. Peter’s Anglican Church & Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Cranes Road, Upper Island Cove on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 4-9 P.M. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in his loving memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland & Labrador.
