Emily Mildred Butler (nee Slade)

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at the age of 100 years. She is predeceased by her husband James; son Rod; parents: Arthur and Jessie Slade; brothers: Chesley, Issac and Lester; sisters: Winnifred, Vera and Pearl; sister-in-law Dora. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Sharon (Lyndon Russell), Gayle Stapleton, Joy (Warren Morris); son Wayne (Carol Norwegian); daughter-in-law Gail; sister-in-law Eliza Slade; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. As well she leaves to mourn a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place at the Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2 pm, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
