PEDDLE Gladys Elizabeth Promoted to Glory Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Gladys Peddle (Smith) was born on August 31,1922 to Nathaniel and Alice Smith. She is survived by sister Grace Newhook (Jim) and brother Nathaniel Smith; predeceased by husband Thomas Peddle and brother Sam. Gladys married Thomas Stephen Peddle on August 9, 1939 and resided in Norman’s Cove, NL. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her children: Eileen Coles (Ernest), Alice Osmond (Harold, deceased), Clement Peddle (Brenda), Grace Anderson (Jim), Joyce Gillard (Neil), Brian Peddle (Rosalie) and Mildred Chard (Glen). Gladys was proud of and loved her 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Gladys Peddle will take place on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 12-1:30 PM followed by a celebration of life service at 2 PM from the Salvation Army Trinity Bay South Corp, Dildo New Harbour, NL. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army Trinity Bay South Corps, Dildo, NL or a charity of your choice.
