James Fintan Mcneil

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father James Fintan McNeil, aged 68, at his residence in Trepassey on Sunday June 3. Predeceased by parents Albert and Catherine McNeil. Leaving to mourn sons Wayne (Krista), Garry (Virginia), and precious grandchildren Amelia, Jordan, Jack, and Jayne. Also sisters and brothers Sheila (Peter Trainor), Phyllis (Ken Robson), Gladys (Wally Edwards), Harry (Angela), Kevin (Marie), Paul (Linda), and sister-in-law Patricia McNeil. Dad also leaves to mourn Wayne and Garry’s mother Irene and the rest of the Bennett family; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We especially thank his good friend Tom Corcoran and Dr. Tom McGarry for taking care of Dad over the years. As per Dad’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Fahey’s Funeral Home in Trepassey on Tuesday June 5 from 7-9pm (family only), Wednesday June 6 from 10am-9pm, and on Thursday June 7 from 9am-11am after which we will be laying Dad to eternal rest with his parents. As Dad always said “That’s it, by’s - that’s the way she goes - that’s all you can do.”
