Joan Leah Maddigan (nee Warren)

RN – St. Clare’s 1952 Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Joan Leah Maddigan aged 87 years. Predeceased by: her husband, Jerome (2008), mother and father: John and Mildred (Clarke) Warren; sister, Mary Harding; brothers: Fred, George and Gerry; sisters-in-law: Margaret Ligeros, Joan (Healey) Adams, Sr. Mary St. Clare, RSM and Mary Maddigan. Leaving to mourn her children: Ruth Noel (Paul), Susan Thistle (Cyril), Leslie Auty (Mick), Billy (Lisa Hutchings) and Stephen (Anne O’Driscoll); grandchildren: Stephanie (Andrew) Noris, Jennifer (Tom Hayward) Noel, Michael (Talya) Noel, Andrea (Philip) O’Keefe, Stephen Thistle, Jessica (Calen) Byrne, Samantha Byrne, Sarah Byrne, Cleary Maddigan and Malloy Maddigan; great-grandchildren: Sabre Noel and Penelope O’Keefe; sisters: Ruth Maranchik (Jack deceased) and Marjorie Marcus (Willis "Boots" deceased); brothers: John (Lorraine deceased), Reuben (Madeline deceased), David (Mary) and Allan (Mary); brothers-in-law: Jim (Anna) Maddigan and Ted (Shirley) Harding as well as a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or a donation may be made in her memory to: St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Teresa’s Church or The Gathering Place.
