Fare thee well Fare thee well for but a while We’ll be brought together on a morning tide I’ll bide my time thinking only of you Fare thee well, Love Love adieu The beautiful soul of John Joseph Ennis passed gently into Eternity from St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on a peaceful spring day after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Predeceased by his Mother and Father, Rita and William Ennis, sister, Patricia Ennis, Nephew, Stephen Brocklehurst, Parents-in-law, Bridget and Martin Hayes, Brother-in-law, Ronnie Hayes. John grew up in Fort Amherst and was a loyal employee of NL Power for 37 years. Some of the happiest moments of his life were spent down Ennis Road in Cape Broyle on the Southern Shore. John had a wonderful love of music and was an excellent button accordion player. He passed down the tradition of story and song to his daughters who continue his legacy. We loved Keeping Time with you. Leaving to mourn his beloved wife and best friend, Cecilia Ennis (Hayes), three daughters whom he adored, Maureen (Perry), Karen (Shane), Teresa (Joel), a precious granddaughter, Rose, loving sister, Rita Brocklehurst (Gary), Nephews, John (Susan, Garrett and Lily) and Matthew (Meighan and Logan), Brothers-in Law, Gene (Patricia), Vince (Mary), Billy (Gen), and Gerry (Glenda), Sister-in -law, Joan (George), cousins, Jerry (Rita), Robert (Maxine), Paul (Pam) and Frances (Bill) as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Waking at Caul's Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday (for visiting hours check Cauls.ca). Funeral mass to be held at Corpus Christi on Saturday, March 24 at 9:30AM. Donations in John’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association NL division.
