John O'Donovan Cowan

Passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Health Sciences Complex, surrounded by loving family and friends. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Gerri Cowan (nee Brophy) and his son John (Lesley) and his two adored grandchildren Benjamin and Sydney. Predeceased by his brothers Dr. Earle Cowan and Harry Cowan and his sister Alice Cowan. Also fondly remembered by sisters-in-law: Ruth Fahey, Marie Gosse, Doreen Lester (Charles), and Charlotte Brophy; brothers-in-law: James Brophy, John Brophy (Pauline), Wayne Brophy (Theresa), and Thomas Riggs; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday March 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Caul’s Funeral Home. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
