It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Larry on Friday, September 14, 2018, surrounded by his loving wife and family, to make his journey home a peaceful one. Predeceased by his parents: James and Florence (nee Murphy), grandson Brad, sisters: Mary (Max), Maureen, brothers: Jim (Sally), Leo (Ann) and Bill, father and mother-in-law Johnny and Esther Power and sister-in-law Shirley Marrie. Larry will be forever remembered and loved by his devoted wife Patricia (Patti), daughters: Jennifer (Shawn Taylor), Andrea (Cory Harris), Joanne (Gerry Butler), grandchildren: Emma, Eric, Abby, Olivia and Jack, brothers: Fred (Rose dec), Pat (Perrine, dec.) and lifelong friend and brother Gerry (Barb), sisters: Patricia (James Gomes), Catherine (Mel Trout, dec.), Helen (Don Price, dec.), Barb (Tom Power), Carol (Wayne Barry), sister-in-law Sue, brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank and Susanna Power, Dave and Theresa Power, Heather and Gus Marrie, Doreen and Dick McCrate, Cec Marrie, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family including his good friends and shed party buddies. Thank you to the Palliative Care Staff who went above and beyond in their care and compassion, the hematology doctors and staff of 4NA, Health Science Centre especially Dr. Bergstrom and Dr. Macintrye who have journeyed with Larry for the last three years. A very special thank you to all those who through there many acts of kindness provided such great support and help to Patti and Larry during his illness. Thanks also to Dunphy’s Funeral Home for their professionalism. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Le Marchant Road on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 3-9 pm and on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel from 12-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 10 am from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Cremation to follow with Inurnment at a later date. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Mount Carmel Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood.
