Loretta Pomroy (nee Casey)

Passed peacefully away at home on March 20, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family, Loretta Pomroy (nee Casey) of Freshwater, formerly of Merasheen and Big Bona, at the age of 83. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Elizabeth Casey, sister Patricia Grace, and infant daughters Margaret and Mary. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 61 years Eddie; her children Mike (Josie), Maureen (Bill), Tish, Shirley (Owen), Paul (Janette), Jeanette, Leonard (Wanda), Dennis (Rhonda), Glenda (Duane), and Darlene (Ben); 21 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother Joe Casey (Bonnie); sister and life-long best friend Annie; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Rob Power and Kelly Culleton for their many visits and care over the past couple of months, and to caregivers Donna Pittman and Paula White for all their special care. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm, and Thursday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 10:30am on Friday, March 23rd at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
