Melinda Irene Gates

Age 85 years of Mt. Pearl. Gently passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. Born in Fortune, she was the daughter of James and Sarah Wicks. Irene, our precious wife and mother, was full of kindness and had a contagious smile who always loved to laugh. Irene leaves behind her devoted husband Winston of 56 years; her children: Michelle (Boris) Rostotski and Daryl (Janet); grandchildren: Jake and Luke Rostotski and Nathan and Naomi Gates; brother Edward (Bud) (Sylvia) Wicks; niece Heather Wicks-Pearce and nephew David Wicks. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Sunday, June 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 and Monday, June 18 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 1 p.m. from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, Mt. Pearl. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Galway.
