Michael John Jones

We are heartbroken to share the sad news of the death of our much loved grandfather, father, brother, and uncle, Michael Jones, a great friend and mentor to many. He was predeceased by his mother Agnes Dobbin Jones, father Michael Jones Sr., and his nephew Louis Jones Bernard. He leaves to mourn his daughter Megan Jones (Clifton Drew); his sons John Jones and Gabriel Williams; his brother Andy Jones (Mary-Lynn Bernard); his sisters Mary Win Clair (Mike Clair) and Cathy Jones; nieces Mara Toombs (Dandelion), Marthe Bernard (Jesse McKeown), and Eleanor Jones Hannon; nephews André Clair (Meaghan McConnell) and Luc Clair (Stephanie); granddaughters Olive Jones and Juniper Jones King; grandson Martin Jones; great-nephews and great-nieces Tennessee, Wilder, Huckleberry, Franny, George, baby girl Clair/McConnell; friends Eleanor Jones and Susan Williams; and a large circle of friends in the Newfoundland and Labrador film community. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences Centre. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Friday, March 16th from 7-9 pm and Saturday, March 17th from 12-6 pm. There will be quiet time to pay your respects to Michael on Friday from 9-7 and Saturday from 9-Noon.
