Theodore (Ted) Joseph Chafe

Theodore (Ted) Joseph Chafe
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that our family mourns the peaceful passing of our beloved Uncle Ted of Petty Harbour, who left this world early Tuesday morning, May 8th after spending his last few days in the palliative care unit at The Leonard A. Miller Centre. He was predeceased by his parents John and Hannah Chafe and his siblings Benedict, Betty, Lucille, Johnny, Francis (Sylvia), Marie and Harry. Left to mourn are his brother Frederick (Marie) Chafe, his sister Jennie (Don- deceased) O’Neill and his sisters-in-law Barbara Chafe and Marie Howlett. He also leaves behind his many profoundly saddened nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He always found the time to visit with his family and friends and bring a smile and a laugh to all with his incredible sense of humour, natural wit and kind heart. Words alone cannot truly express or do justice to what a joy and exuberance he brought to this world; his essence was in his presence and it will be a loss for all who knew him. We that are left behind will miss him dearly. You’ll always be our very special Uncle Ted. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Cremation to follow.
