William Clyde "Bud" Parsons

Former employee of C.N.R passed peacefully away surrounded with laughter and love on Monday, March 19, 2018. Bud Parsons age 88 years. Left with wonderful memories his devoted wife of 61 years Elva (nee Pye); his children: Charlene (Gary) Peckham, Denise (Don Norman) Hammond and Glenn (Debbie Maloney) Parsons; grandchildren: Jordan (Kathryn Sparrow), Curtis (Ayla Joy) and Sydney Peckham, Lindsay (Stephen Hicks) Hammond, Courtney (Brandon) Halliday, Robyn (Kody Campbell) Hammond, and their father Randy Hammond; his treasured great-granddaughters: Lela and Ava Halliday; Bud’s favorite furry friend Finnigan; our extended family the Pyes and Pendergasts; special friends, The Roses, and their families and Bud’s buddy Bren McGrath. We will always remember Bud for his love of Deer Park and cherish our memories of times spent there. The Parsons family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and would like to thank Dr. Genge and Dr. MacPherson for their exceptional compassion and care. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 12:00 noon – 9:00 p.m. At Bud’s request, there will be no funeral service and burial will take place at a later date.
