Winston G. Kitchen

Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital, Bell Island, on July 13, 2018, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Una, son-in-law Frankie Pendergast, sister-in-law Vivian Howell (Sig), brothers-in-law Fred Tucker, Ralph and Bill Skehans. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Carol; daughters Tena (Bob), Wanda (Wayne) and Lynn; son Scott (Angela); grandchildren: Kayla (Edward), Stephen (Lisa), Chelsea (Matt), Jillian and Brooklyn; great-grandchild Lincoln; and special furry friend Summer. Also left to mourn are his sisters Marena Shannahan (Ron), Lillian Basha and Marg Tucker; sisters-in-law Joan Parsons (Sidney), Diane King (Lindsay), Irene Eveleigh (Malcolm), Jean Kearley (Ray) and Marg Skehans; brothers-in-law John Skehans (Sally) and Terry Skehans (Cynthia); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sincerest appreciation to Dr. A. Laurie and the staff at the Bell Island Hospital and the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic. Visitation at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 15 from 1-9 pm. Service at St. Michael's Parish on Monday, July 16 at 2 pm with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Wabana Volunteer Fire Department or to the Bell Island Kiwanis Club.
