People who look to the sky in the name of science recently found a new planet. This planet is said to be about 25 hundred light years away or about 15 quadrillion miles. That’s 15 followed by 15 zeros – incomprehensible.

Easier to comprehend is 14 inches.

That’s the distance involved in a dispute between a resident of Paradise and its town council, as outlined in the past weekend’s Telegram.

Assuming that all the information contained in the article is accurate, it would seem that the solution is quite simple.

Chop off the offensive 14 inches and rebuild within the boundary.

Of course that would mean having a building with five corners or, to make it sound more professional, a pentagonal building. But there should be no shame involved.

The most famous pentagonal building on the planet goes by the name of The Pentagon. Even that building had to be moved from its originally intended site.

Let’s hope reason prevails and that soon, tourists will be driving by to get a look at the Paradise Pentagon.
