I am writing you today from my home town of Twillingate.
Twillingate is a beautiful fishing and tourist town on the Northeast Coast right in the middle of ice berg ally. Too bad that our town water is not as pure as it is in the ice bergs.
Newfoundland and Labrador has the most cases of cancer per population in Canada and a lot of people are blaming it on our water supplies.
In the attachment I have showing you pictures of bolts from a toilet tank after just a few years, all corroded, and which the tank to leak. Hot water tanks are only warranted for two years in this province and some corrode out before then.
I was in Brampton, Ont., last winter and drank water from the taps. I didn’t find any difference between Brampton’s tap water than bottled water.

Tourists complain also about the colour in their bath and the taste.
Our water taxes and property taxes are about the same has they are for the same value houses in Brampton, so why are we not getting the same quality of drinking water?
My brother-in-law living in Brampton told me he hasn’t changed his hot water tank in 25 years and I have had over six new tanks that corroded in that period of time.
Something is wrong here and I do believe an investigation into the management, safety and water system filtration of our town is warranted due to the number of cancer cases.
Water may never be the cause but it would be good to know that it is not.
