The St. John’s Icecaps have played 19 games this American Hockey League season. Winger Derek Whitmore (shown above) appeared in seven of them, scoring a goal and adding two assists. Whitmore has left the IceCaps to joining a team in the German Elite League and as a result, St. John’s has released him from the professional try-out contract he was operating under. — Telegram file photo
