The driver and passenger were sent to hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries following the accident. RCMP on the scene said the car struck the moose as it changed lanes to avoid another vehicle slowing down trying to avoid the same moose. Traffic was slowed but still moving in the area as the scene was cleared.
