REGINA - How to collect and spend resource revenues was a source of contention tonight in an election debate between Saskatchewan Party Leader Brad Wall and NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter.

Lingenfelter says Saskatchewan residents deserve a bigger share of the potash pie and is basing a lot of his campaign promises on collecting more royalty money.

Wall notes that a year ago the two sides were in agreement when they argued against a foreign takeover of Saskatoon-based Potash Corp.

Wall says making changes to the royalty structure would put jobs at risk.

The premier also argues against an NDP proposal to share resource revenue with First Nations people.

He says the argument is similar to the one made against the takeover — that the resource belongs to everyone in the province.
