Acting Auditor General Wayne R. Loveys this afternoon presented his 2011 Annual Report to the Speaker of the House of Assembly.

The 500-page report includes commentary, recommendations and auditees’ comments, related to:

Infrastructure Strategy;

Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board;

Temporary Employees;

Western School District;

Industrial Compliance;

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary – Firearms;

Growing Forward Program;

Mineral Incentive Program;

Provincial Commodity Boards;

Provincial Lottery Licensing;

Workplace Health and Safety Inspections;

Marble Mountain Development Corporation;

Building Maintenance;

Trans Labrador Highway.

The report also provides comments on the audit of the province’s financial statements for the year ended March 31, 2011.

    Is there a report on all Health care operations in this province, or, was an audit done on these. There has been an enormous amount of money raised for these facilities and equipment and does any government department know where or to whom it went? There are serious issues in Health Care and I am disappointed not to see any mention of them in this report.
