I don't blame Ross, i blame the Management of the Pepsi Center and the so called hockey fans of Corner Brook who didn't show up to support them. To late to cry now. I along with my die hard hockey BUDS will be going to Deer Lake to cheer for our West Coast Hockey team. I would like to see a different name even the Red Wings wouldn't bother me.

Should have called the team Deer Lake Red Wings, Royals belongs to Corner Brook. I don't think you will get 20 fans from Corner Brook .

If neither Deer Lake or Corner Brook can support a minor league of their own, why do not both communities combine forces and create the Royal Red Wings, playing half of their games in each town. Deer Lake fans can travel to Corner Brook and vice versa. Maybe one team shared by both communities can be economically viable. Since many of the players are from neither Deer Lake or Corner Brook this should not be an issue.

i'm with you peter there is only one place for the royals. mr. coates should know that all minor league all star teams use the name royals and have every right to continue that policy. you will never live long enough to see more than fifty fans attend a game in deer lake and further more the fans in deer lake are RED WINGS fans. not ROYALS fans. please don't come back next year looking for our support.

sorry anthony but i dont think you will get 400 to 500 people from corner brook to drive to deer lake to watch the team play.i went to every game and i like some other fans feel betrayed.if mr. coates wanted to move the team to deer lake change the name.there is only one place for the name royals and thats corner brook.hopefully someone will come forward next year and put a team in corner brook.good luck but i dont think you will get to many corner brook royals fans to support the move.i am one of those fans
