Brandon Jackson scattered four hits over seven innings, and struck out 10 to spark the Knights to a 7-2 win over Feildians in St. John’s Molson senior baseball Wednesday night at St. Pat’s Ball Park.

Jackson was bit wild, however, issuing six walks. Lenny King (7IP, 7H, 7R, 4ER, 2BB, 9K) was tagged with the loss.

Shawn Beson had a pair of hits for the Knights, knocking in two runs. Riley King was two-for-four in a losing cause.

In the nightcap, Gonzaga outscored Holy Cross 12-7.

Dan Connors (5IP, 6H, 5R, 3ER, 3BB, 5K) got the win, with relief help from Dave Lahey (2IP, 5H, 2R, 2ER, 1BB, 2K). Sean Janes (6IP, 10H, 8R, 6ER, 3BB, 2K), the first of two Holy Cross pitchers, was tagged with the loss. Gerry Stone (1IP, 4H, 4R, 4ER, 2BB, 2K) finished up.

Peter Madden was three-for-five for the Vikings, with a couple of singles, a double and three RBI. Eric McKay was one better for Holy Cross, collecting four singles and scoring three runs.
