Aaron Dowden knocked in three runs, and Steve Crooks and Kobe Weir both had a couple of runs scored as the Knights knocked off the Guards on St. John’s Molson Intermediate Baseball League play Thursday evening at Mount Pearl’s Smallwood Drive Ball Park.
Nick Williams (6IP, 6R, 6H, 4W, 2K) registered the win, with David Bugden pitching an inning of relief. Ben Halfyard was roughed up in taking the loss.
Dawson O’Toole-Didham was the lone bright spot for Guards, with a two-run double.
