The Shamrocks lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 and can take the 2016 title with another win Thursday night at St. Pat’s.

At St. Pat’s Ball Park, Shammies’ veteran hurler Bob Kent allowed only a Peter Madden single and two walks over six innings.

Kent, who struck out five, was backed by the bats of Scott Stockley, who hit a two-out home run as part of a five-run fourth inning, and Jay Warford, who had three hits, including a triple.

Tyler Vincent took the loss in a game that was shortened to six innings by the 10-run mercy rule.
