St. John's senior baseball season set to begin Thursday

The 2017 Molson St. John's Senior Baseball League season begins Thursday at St. Pat's Ball Park.

The opening-night schedule begins with a rematch of last year's final as the RMM Gonzaga Vikings taking on the defending champions OMT Shamrocks.

That will be followed by a game between the Rona Storm and the Knights, the league's two Mount Pearl-based teams.

The Fifth Ticket Feildians and Holy Cross Trinity Crusaders, the league's other two teams, will square off at St. Pat's Friday night.
