The Gonzaga Vikings look to wrap up their semifinal series tonight and punch their ticket into the St. John’s Molson Senior Baseball League final.

The Vikings grabbed a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five semifinal with a 4-3 win Saturday at St. Pat’s Ball Park. The game went nine innings.

Gonzaga can wrap things up in Game 4 8:30 tonight at St. Pat’s.

Dan Connors (9IP, 5H, 3R, 3ER, 1BB, 9K) pitched a gem to register the victory. Noah Anderson (6.2IP, 6H, 3R, 2ER, 6BB, 1K) started for the Knights and was relieved by Brandon Jackson (2IP, 1H, 1R, 1ER, 4BB, 0K), who was tagged with the loss.

Gary Dymond went three-for-four at the plate for the Vikes, with three singles. Greg Sharpe and Tyler Holwell both doubled off Connors, and Mike Clarke had a two-run single.

In the other series, two-time defending champion Shamrocks carried a 1-0 series lead into Game 2 of their series Saturday.

The teams only got two innings in before the game was called due to rain.

It will resume this evening at 6 p.m. at St. Pat’s.
