It was a special night for Sean Gulliver Thursday as he played his last St. John's Molson senior baseball game. The only way it could have been more special is if he and the Shamrocks, the team he has been with since the 1980s, could have come away with a win.

It was not to be however as the Gonzaga Vikings prevailed 8-2 at St. Pat's Ball Park.

The 50-year-old Gulliver reached base three times, delivering two of the Shamrocks six hits and also drawing a walk.

Gonzaga starter Matthew Peterson (5IP, 4H, 2ER, 3BB, 3K) got the win, with relief help from Tyler Vincent (2IP, 2H,2K).

In a game at Smallwood Field in Mount Pearl, Feildians edged the H.J. Bartlett Electric Storm 5-4 as the Walshs did the job on the mound. Starter Alex Walsh (5IP, 3R, 2H. 2W, 10K) got the win and  reliever John Walsh (2IP, 2H, 2R, 5K) picked up the save.
