A story which appeared in the Friday, Aug. 17 edition of The Telegram mistakenly omitted a St. John’s native who is attending Rugby Canada’s world junior training camp in Shawinigan Lake, B.C.
Ben Newhook from the Vandals Rugby Football Club is joining fellow St. John’s natives Jack McCarthy of the Vandals and the Swilers’ Campbell Clarke at the training camp.
Of the 35 athletes in camp, 26 will be selected to play for Canada at the Junior World Rugby Trophy competition in Romania later this month.
The Telegram regrets the error.
