The Godsland rink, which also includes third Megan Kearley, successfully defended its provincial title with a 7-5 win over a foursome skipped by Rebecca Roberts.

Both teams are out of the St. John’s Curling Club.

Roberts had beaten Godsland in their first playoff matchup — and extra-end affair — Wednesday night, but since Godsland had gone through the preliminary round undefeated, she needed to be defeated twice in the playoff portion of the event to be denied another crown.

With their victory, Godsland, Kearley, Molloy and Taylor will represent the province at the 2017 national junior championships late next month in Victoria, B.C.
