Gushue, third Mark Nichols, second Brett Gallant and lead Geoff Walker won the world title Sunday night in Edmonton as they defeated Sweden 4-2.

Gushue and Nichols have also won world junior and Olympic men’s crowns, while the foursome won their first Brier Canadian men’s championship last month in St. John’s.

The Gushue team had a perfect run in Edmonton, going 11-0 in the round-robin and adding two victories over Sweden in the Page playoffs. They defeated Edin in the Page playoff 1-2 game on Friday night to advance straight to the final.
