They won their opener Saturday night defeating the University of Prince Edward Island 9-3 in a rematch of the Atlantic conference men’s final won by Memorial. On Sunday afternoon, the Sea-Hawks followed up with a 6-3 victory over Wilfrid Laurier. The Boland rink, coached by Gary Ryan, also played in Sunday’s late draw against Alberta.
Today, Memorial will face host Lakehead and the University of Regina. In all, Memorial will play seven games in the round robin, which precedes the playoffs on Wednesday. The top four teams in the eight-team field advance to the semifinals.
