The Sea-Hawks’ women’s skip is Rebecca Roberts, with a team that includes Sarah Ford, Jessica Fleming and Stephanie Nadeau, with Wallace Gregory as coach.
On the men’s side, Memorial’s rink is skipped by Adam Boland, the runner-up to Brad Gushue in the recent Tankard provincial men’s championship. The other members of the team — Stephen Trickett, Zach Young, Evan Kearley and coach Gary Ryan — also played in that Tankard final.
Seven men’s and seven women’s teams are competing in a round-robin format Truro leading into semifinals and the final on Sunday.
The Memorial women open up today against defending champion Dalhousie, while the Sea-Hawks men’s first game is against St. Francis Xavier.
Two sheets from each draw, including both of Sunday's championship games, will be available via live webcast at www.AUStv.ca.
Three men's and women's teams from the championship will represent the Atlantic conference at the 2017 U Sports/CCA championship hosted by Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ont., March 19-22.
