Make it wins on consecutive days for St. John’s golfers Ethan Efford and Lucan Meade on the Tely Junior Tour.
Efford of Bally Haly Country Club and Meade from Glovelly Golf, followed up their Monday victories in the Glendenning Junior Championship by finishing on top of their divisions Tuesday in the Future Shooters Showdown at The Wilds Golf Resort in Salmonier.
In the boys’ juvenile division played over 18 holes, Efford’s 86 on Tuesday gave him a one-stroke advantage over Bally Haly clubmate Nathan Nanayakkara.
Bantam competitors played over nine holes, with Meade’s 50 putting him seven strokes up on over Ben Preston of Pitcher's Pond, runner-up for a second straight event.
The Tour has three events in St. John’s next week, thee Bally Haly Junior Invitational on Monday, Aug. 20; the Gatorade Masters Invitational at Clovelly Aug. 21; and the Pippy Park Junior Invitational Aug. 23.
