The finalists in both the St. John’s and metro high school hockey league championship series will be decided tonight with a pair of Game 3 semifinal games.
At 8:30 tonight, the Holy Heart Highlanders meet the Holy Trinity Tigers in the final game of their best-of-three semifinal, while in the metro league, the Mount Pearl Senior High Huskies and St. Kevin’s Mavericks clash in Game 3 of their semifinal series 8 o’clock this evening at The Glacier in Mount Pearl.
Awaiting the winner of the Highlanders-Tigers outcome are the Gonzaga Vikings, who swept their semifinal with the Waterford Valley Warriors.
The St. John’s final opens 8 p.m. Friday at Twin Rinks.
The O’Donel Patriots upset the Queen Elizabeth Pioneers in a two-game sweep in their metro semifinal and will play either the Huskies or Mavs in the final that starts 7:30 Tuesday night at the Goulds Arena.
